Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) is a tunneling protocol that encapsulates IP over IP as a virtual point-to-point link in RouterOS, with keepalive monitoring, MTU and MSS handling, DSCP settings and an optional IPsec-secret for encrypted tunnels.
