Summary of documentation changes made on July 20, 2026.

Site​

• Documentation versioning: The current documentation was frozen as version 7.24, which is now selectable from the version dropdown. Frozen versions are excluded from search engine indexing, and site search no longer returns duplicate hits from frozen versions for pages that still exist in the current documentation.

Authentication & AAA​

• Certificates: Every certificate property across the documentation now links back to the certificate store. Affected pages include RADIUS, User Manager, Container apps, LoRa, MQTT, Wiliot, TR-069, OpenFlow, Fetch, IPsec, OpenVPN, and SSTP.

Wireless​

• WiFi: Clarified the Network section — a /interface/wifi/network entry without labels applies to all interfaces, and the examples are now annotated as network and radio presets. The MLO example gained a security.passphrase value.

User Guides​

• PIM-SM: Reworked the configuration examples. The basic example now splits the PIM interface template from a separate igmp-interface-template for the client-facing interface, so the PIM instance learns local group memberships. The static RP example replaces the loopback bridge with the built-in lo interface and adds IGMP querier configuration for R2 and R3.
• IGMP proxy: Removed the quick-leave configuration example.

Hardware Guides​

• hAP ax 2 and hAP ax 3: Renamed the hAP ax pages so page names match the products — the former hap-ax page is now hap-ax-3, and hap-ax-2 now holds the hAP ax 2 content. Existing bookmarks to the old hap-ax URL will need updating.
• Wireless systems: Added product images from mikrotik.com to the LDF 5, SXT SA, and SXT SQ series pages, and to several LTE kit pages.
• Hardware guides: WinBox download links across 176 device pages now use the mt.lv/winbox shortcut, and the default IP address 192.168.88.1 is now linked with an explicit https:// scheme.

Authentication & AAA​

• Certificates: Added the full list of built-in root certificate authorities, with organization, common name, and subject ID for each — covering Amazon, DigiCert, GlobalSign, Go Daddy, Sectigo, USERTrust, and ISRG roots. A separate table documents the reduced trust store on SMIPS devices (DigiCert Global Root G2, ISRG Root X1/X2, ISRG Root YE/YR). The list is also noted as accessible at /certificate/builtin/.

System​

• Scheduler: Documented the days parameter, which restricts a task to specific days of the week (mon,wed,fri, or always). The property list was converted to a proper table and gained the policy parameter, start-time=startup is now documented on the start-time row, and a new example shows a task that runs only on business days. Also clarified how days, start-time, and interval interact.

Hardware​

• RouterBOARD: Added a note that on-event scripts for the Mode, Reset, and WPS buttons execute with read,write,reboot,ftp,romon,test permissions.

Network Management​

• DHCP: Filled in previously empty property descriptions for the DHCP client (custom-source-mac-address, custom-hostname-suffix, caps-managers) and the DHCP server (address-lists, use-reconfigure). Expanded add-dns-entries and add-dns-entries-suffix to explain how the FQDN is built from the client hostname, and added a note that the parent DNS zone must already exist — the DHCP server does not create it.

Getting Started​

• x86 licensing: Added a FAQ entry on correcting a mistyped Software ID on a purchased key, with step-by-step instructions for the "Fix Software ID" option in the mikrotik.com account.
• RouterOS licensing: Internal links across the licensing pages now use Docusaurus routes.

Hardware Guides​

• Hardware guides: Fixed broken URLs, heading hierarchy, and table-cell headings across 80 switch and wireless system pages, and replaced remaining Confluence help links with Docusaurus routes.

Bridging & Switching​

• L3 hardware offloading: Documented hardware-offloaded VRF support. A new "Hardware-Offloaded VRF" section lists which switch chips support it (98DX8xxx, 98DX4xxx, 98DX325x, 98CX8410, 98DX7xxx) and which do not (98DX3xxx, 98DX2xxx), the per-chip VRF table limits (512 or 1024), interface-association rules, and VRF assignment on ingress traffic via the new-vrf option in /interface/ethernet/switch/rule. The Marvell Prestera switch chip features page gained a matching VRF entry.
• Bridge: Added a "DHCP Snooping Binding Table" section describing the DHCPv4 snooping binding database built on top of /interface/bridge/host, including the dhcpv4-status, dhcpv4-ip, dhcpv4-server-id, and dhcpv4-expires-after fields, MAC–VLAN identification under VLAN filtering, and WinBox/console screenshots.

Containers​

• Containers: Normalized the property table's type/default formatting, fixed numbered-list indentation that was rendering incorrectly, and corrected minor grammar.

• Dot1x: Renamed the reauth-timeout property to reauth-period to match RouterOS.

Bridging & Switching​

• Bridge IGMP/MLD snooping: Added the querier-uses-bridge-address bridge setting (default yes), which makes the bridge IGMP querier use the bridge interface's own IPv4 address as the source for query packets instead of 0.0.0.0. Some multicast clients reject queries from 0.0.0.0, which could interrupt multicast streams when snooping entries time out. It applies only to IPv4 (IGMP) when igmp-snooping and multicast-querier are enabled and the bridge has an IPv4 address; MLD queries always use the bridge's IPv6 link-local address.

• Console: Merged the separate "Command Line Interface" page into the Console page so all CLI/console material lives in one place, updating cross-references from the Scripting, Bluetooth, and MQTT pages accordingly, and fixed a small formatting issue in the Quick Typing section.

• Scripting: Documented the order-by parameter for the print command, which sorts output by up to three properties (prefix a property with - for descending order), with examples.

High Availability Solutions​

• VRRP: Added the v3-checksum-as-v2 setting, which controls whether the VRRPv3 IPv4 checksum includes the IPv4 pseudoheader. The default (no) matches Linux-based implementations such as FRR; set it to yes for compatibility with Cisco and other vendors. It applies only to VRRPv3 IPv4, and all routers in a Virtual Router must use the same value to avoid "bad checksum" errors.

• Property tables: Fixed fenced code blocks that the Confluence→Docusaurus migration had flattened into single table cells (showing as raw ```ros<br/> text) across 11 pages, including Disks, Scripting, Log, LTE/5G, NTP, L2TP, PPPoE, and WiFi interworking. They now render as inline code.

Bridging & Switching​

• Bridge: Documented the valid-value stepping rules for STP/MSTP priority fields. Bridge and MSTI priorities must be set in steps of 4096 (0x1000) — the 12 lowest bits are ignored — with the full list of valid hex/decimal values; bridge port and MST-override port priorities must be set in steps of 16 (0x10) and now use an explicit 0x00–0xf0 value set. Also fixed the port-cost-mode path-cost reference table, which was broken during migration, rendering it as a proper collapsible table with both Long and Short columns.
• Spanning Tree Protocol: Applied the same priority stepping and valid-value details to the CIST/MSTI/port priority descriptions.

System​

• Neighbor discovery: Added an "LLDP neighbors" section documenting the read-only /ip/neighbor/lldp menu, which shows detailed LLDP TLVs (chassis ID, port ID, system name/description) for LLDP-discovered neighbors only, with example output and a note that the lldpRemTable SNMP table excludes CDP/MNDP-only entries.
